21.03.2024 🌟 Exciting news from Malta! 🌟 Yesterday, Fred Philippy had the honor of presenting his latest research paper entitled “Soft Prompt Tuning for Cross-Lingual Transfer: When Less is More” at the workshop on Modular and Open Multilingual NLP at the 18th Conference of the European Section of the Association for Computational Linguistics in Malta. About the paper: His paper shows that using cost-effective training methods such as soft prompt tuning for multilingual language models not only helps to reduce the computational burden, but also improves the performance of the model for languages that have fewer resources available or are significantly different from English.
